International JKA Karate Seminar in Malta with Hirayama Sensei
De La Salle CollegeJKA WF Malta welcomed Hirayama Sensei, 7th Dan JKA Instructor, to Malta from 22–26 July for an exceptional week of traditional JKA Karate training. The programme featured advanced kata sessions for brown and black belts, a dedicated instructors’ class, and an International JKA Karate Seminar attended by 104 karateka from Malta, Italy, England, Sweden and Hungary.
JKA WF MALTA Proudly Represents Malta at the 2026 JKA European Championships
Bergen, NorwayJKA WF MALTA represented the island at the 2026 JKA European Karate Championships in Bergen, Norway, held from 8th to 9th May. Competing against top European Shotokan Karate athletes, the Maltese team showcased strong performance, discipline, and team spirit.
2 JKA WF Malta Instructors Complete Intensive Training in Japan
Between the 31st March and 10th April, JKA WF Malta Chief Instructor Paul Falzon Sensei and Instructor Leanne Falzon Sensei travelled to Japan to undertake an intensive period of training at the JKA Headquarters Dojo. Throughout their stay, they had the privilege of training under several distinguished JKA Headquarters instructors, including Naka Sensei, Hirayama Sensei, Hidemoto Kurihara Sensei, and Osato Sensei, gaining valuable technical knowledge and insight into JKA's highest standards of karate instruction. In addition to their training at JKA Headquarters, they also trained at JKA Jonan Shotojuku Dojo in Sangenjaya under the guidance of Ogata Sensei.
