With a successful start to the New year calendar, an outstanding number of SKA members gathered to participate in the first SKA Training Camp, another major highlight for 2017. The event was held over 3 days between the 24th and 26th of February at the Archbishop’s Seminary in Rabat.
Participants were subjected to a very busy schedule of constant hard training, with an exceptional level of instruction by SKA Chief Instructor Sensei Edward Aquilina. Training was targeted to further strengthen physical and mental resilience in Karate training, the true Budo Way.
Sessions were based on high standard dynamic Kihon, Kata and Kumite training with a difference; taking Members’ physical capabilities beyond their limits and testing their mental drive to persevere through every session. All participants displayed commendable discipline, great commitment and a resilient attitude despite the highly intensive physical and mental demand, leaving all who completed this remarkable feat proud of their achievement.
Shotokan Karate-Do Association would like to take this opportunity to thank its Sponsors, Farsons Group, Holistic Institute of Technologies and Tokaido Martial Arts Supplies Malta for their commitment and the generous contribution which has helped to make this demanding event a truly successful one.
