SKA holds an Annual Summer Beach Training Session every year as part of its social events outside of the Dojo. This year it was held on Sunday 24th of August at Ghajn Tuffieha and Golden Bay.
The training, though always different, consisted of physical challenges, stamina exercises and teamwork games which are related to Karate.
It is the Association’s belief that such activities help to create a stronger bond between its members and to promote a perception of Karate which is not restricted solely to the dojo.
At 7 am we started off with a light warm-up followed by a muscle draining jog in dry sand. Several fun challenges followed which tested our senses, reaction, coordination, physical ability, teamwork skills and perseverance. And finally, a well-deserved mid-day swim!
We thank Sensei Kenneth and Senpai Keith for organizing this activity which promoted a fun approach towards developing the attitude we want to have in our Karate Training and Life whilst enhancing the skills which will further help us in our training.
