Between the 31st March and 10th April, JKA WF Malta Chief Instructor Paul Falzon Sensei and Instructor Leanne Falzon Sensei travelled to Japan to undertake an intensive period of training at the JKA Headquarters Dojo.
Throughout their stay, they had the privilege of training under several distinguished JKA Headquarters instructors, including Naka Sensei, Hirayama Sensei, Hidemoto Kurihara Sensei, and Osato Sensei, gaining valuable technical knowledge and insight into JKA’s highest standards of karate instruction.
In addition to their training at JKA Headquarters, they also trained at JKA Jonan Shotojuku Dojo in Sangenjaya under the guidance of Ogata Sensei.
A highlight of their visit was the special opportunity to train at the renowned Komazawa University Karate Club Dojo, where they experienced the exceptional spirit and intensity of training alongside the university’s top athletes as they prepared for the upcoming All Japan Championships. The sessions were conducted under the instruction of Shigee Sensei and Hidemoto Kurihara Sensei, providing an inspiring insight into the highest level of competitive karate.
